The short version
Right now, anotherapp.io sets no cookies.
The only thing this website keeps on your device is the language you choose, so the site opens in that language the next time you visit. It is stored in your browser, it never leaves your device, and it says nothing about who you are. No analytics tool runs on this site, no advertising pixel, no chat widget.
Because nothing here needs your consent, you will not see a cookie banner. If that ever changes, you will be asked before any new tool loads, and this page will list it.
Last updated: 17 October 2026. This page covers the website at anotherapp.io. The Another app is covered by the Privacy Policy.
What is stored today
One item, and it is not a cookie.
| Name | What it is | Why | Set by | How long | Personal data |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
another-lang | Local storage, not a cookie. It stays in your browser and is never sent to us. | Remembers the language you picked, so the site opens in it next time. | anotherapp.io | Until you clear your browser data | None |
Local storage is a small space in your browser that a website can write to. Unlike a cookie, it is not attached to requests, so it is never sent to our servers or to anyone else. If you clear your browser data for anotherapp.io, the setting is gone and the site simply falls back to English.
Other connections this site makes
Loading a page always involves a few technical steps. For transparency, here is everything that happens when you open anotherapp.io.
- The pages, images and typefaces are served from our own domain through Netlify, our hosting provider. Like any web host, Netlify processes your IP address to deliver the page to you and keeps short-lived server logs for security and reliability. It sets no cookies on this site.
- The white paper is served as a file from the same domain. Opening it makes no further connection.
- Links to X, Telegram, Instagram and the App Store take you to those services. Once you are there, their own cookie policies apply, not this one.
- Nothing is loaded from advertising or analytics networks, and no third-party script runs on the page.
Tools we may add, and what would change
As Another grows, the website may start using tools that do set cookies: a support chat such as Intercom, an analytics tool to see which pages help people, or campaign pixels to measure whether an ad was worth running. None of these are active today. The table below says what each category would do and how you would be asked.
| Category | What it would do | Examples | Consent | Status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Keeps the site working and safe: security checks, load balancing, remembering your cookie choice itself. | Bot protection, consent record | Not required by law, but always listed here | Not in use |
| Preferences | Remembers choices you make so you do not have to make them again. | Language, region | Not required for choices you make yourself | Language only, in local storage |
| Analytics | Measures how pages are used: which pages are opened, for how long, on what kind of device. | Google Analytics, Plausible, Hotjar | Asked before anything loads | Not in use |
| Support chat | A chat widget sets cookies to keep your conversation open as you move between pages and to recognise you when you come back. | Intercom, Crisp, Zendesk | Asked before it loads, or started by you when you open the chat | Not in use |
| Marketing | Pixels that measure whether an ad led to a visit or an install, and build audiences for future ads. | X, Meta, Google Ads, TikTok | Asked before anything loads | Not in use |
Before any tool in the analytics, support chat or marketing categories goes live:
- A consent prompt appears before the tool's script loads. Declining is as easy as accepting, and nothing in either category runs until you have chosen.
- You can accept or decline by category rather than all or nothing.
- Your choice is stored in a single strictly necessary cookie so we do not ask again on every page. You can change it at any time from the Cookies link in the footer.
- This page is updated to name every tool, the company behind it, the cookies it sets and how long each one lasts.
A support chat is slightly different. If you open the chat yourself, the widget loads at that moment because you asked for it, and it sets the cookies it needs to keep your conversation going. It will not load in the background before that.
How to control what is stored
Every browser lets you see, block and delete cookies and site data for a single site or for all sites. The settings are usually under Privacy or Site data. Clearing the data for anotherapp.io removes the language setting described above.
Blocking storage entirely does not break this site. You would only lose the remembered language, and the language wheel still works for the current visit.
If tools that need consent are added later, the consent prompt and the Cookies link in the footer become the simplest way to manage them, because your choice then applies across every page of the site at once.
The app
This page is about the website only. The Another app runs on your phone and handles your account, your cards and your wallets, so it works differently and is described in the Privacy Policy, in particular section 8, Cookies and tracking technologies, and section 9, How we collect personal data.
